Director of Operations

Rommey Walsh has spent a lifetime with dogs. She grew up in a household with Search and Rescue and Shutzhund trained protection dogs. While learning from a young age how to handle dogs in all phases of their lives, Rommey came to realize that there is more than one path to happy multiple dog households. She has become an expert in using variety of training methods to help families integrate their dogs into their lives in ways that fit each individual family.

Rommey’s extensive professional background with pets includes: PetSmart trainer for 1 1/2 years; pet store manager; groomer and lead groomer; vet tech for 7 1/2 years at a veterinary hospital, 6 1/2 years as head nurse, and is a certified PetTech Pet Saver. She has been a trainer and consultant with Dog Behavior Rehab since 2006. She is most interested in the dog/child relationship and the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless and injured animals.

Jim Walsh is Rommey’s husband. He and his crew did our build out for The Dog House Inn, and he is the one we yell for when something’s wrong. Thank you Jim!

Sherry Boyer is the founder of Dog Behavior Rehab. In January of 2007 she began to realize that her house had been taken over by Board and Behave and Board and Train dogs. When her husband, Hans, mentioned this fact he was told to sit and given a liver treat. Actually, Sherry and Rommey began looking for a facility to house either their husbands or their dogs, and The Dog House Inn was born. By the way, Hans is very happy with this development and has sworn off liver treats completely.
